Just got my New scx10 Honcho from Corey at RPP hobbies. Mad4runner was right when he said to me, "you just can't stop at one!" And after my first attempt at a scaler with the F350, I've got some serious plans to update the crap out of this one with a full scale mountain fire rescue theme... Truggy. I Just couldn't wait to post something and let the cat out of the bag early. Although I'm really not supposed to be working on it till christmas morning... Just don't tell the wife. Pics coming soon. Already sandblasted a lot of parts to prep for the powdercoating. A ton of custom parts are being designed and sketched out. I feel like a kid in a candy shop again. Weeeeee! |

D a y 1: arrival After busting the bags open, later that evening - went to my friends shop who has recently aquired one of these monsters! After a brief tutorial, I was blasting away like a pro Yea - I know - blasting away such a nice finish right out of the box before it even had a chance. Well, Last truck - I assembeled the turkey - then went thru this process so (although feeling some sadness) I blasted away! I grabbed basically as many metal parts as I could carry. Lower connecting rods still anadized gun metal gray. Most parts on table completed. All done. I glass "bead blasted" all traces of human touch. They are once again virgin soil. next step... a solvent soak and a new dress More coming soon. By the Way "kikcaffine", thanks for the offer bro but I think I got this one covered.
