Default My Wrangler JK Build

Well I started the Build using the JK Body bc Thats what I drive

Since I Lost my job- I have nothing but Time..So this is what I did so far

Got me an RC4WD Trail Finder Kit
Had to 4 Link the rear to make it fit the right WB the leafs made it to short -
Made own carbon Fiber Cross Bar

Mounted Steering servo to chassis

Started like this

Painted the Body all black bc mines Black- added Grill mesh

Interior is grey in the real one -so I painted it grey

Cut the front Bumper off and added the PL Front Bumper and winch- had to make a plate to mount it

still gotta figure out how to mount the body- have lights to do and lots more little things

Day 2

OK Today I linked the front
Moved the steering links to the front of the axle- had to make carbon fiber servo plate adapter to mount the servo in the right spot

Then had to make another 4 link cross bar out of carbon fiber

Had to make a new Front bumper mount and rest the front ride height

Tomorrow I have to shorten the rear link to bring the WB a little closer - off by 2mm Dam

Great work!

Two questions for you...

What is the wheelbase?

How is the body mounted?

Thanks!

Wow looks great, can't wait to see more pictures. I think some good pictures would be out in the snow, flexing in snow. How did you mount the body? i need some ideas for my build once i start.

nice simple execution. turned out (or IS turning out) very nice indeed.

couple things I would do, as suggestions only, would be to paint the chassis flat textured black and paint the *gasp* axles gunmetal. GM instead of black on the axles so you still get the detail and bling but its not so flashy.

looks great so far. if the frame and axles had some paint on them you could definitely fool some people... are you going to bring the rear down at all? looks a little ass-high

Painted it BLACK-
I used Black Caliper Paint which is a little tougher and sticks to metal very well

lowered the rear - Ride height is where it should be

Scrap those silly RC4WD tires. Try out some new Proline 1.9 Flat Irons.

Sweet rig. That is a very clean build.
