| Jeep Wrangler JK 1.9
It was a while since i posted a build thread on here, i got bored so i post it here to. I want to thank AeroSynch for taking time to buy and ship one of these bodies over here! And wow its a sweet body, very nice detailed. Im going for the light trail equipped rig look, low rideheight, not to much cutting in the body and a red black theme. It will be repainted. Here is what im planning... Chassis: Midgard Custom chassis Axles: Axial Trans: R2 T-Case: Cad to chrome or Killer t-case. Motor: integy 55t Wheels: CAC Of course!! 1.9 Soft 8:s Tires: RC4WD Tomahawks. Winch: Scaleoffroad (had one laying around) Custom front winch bumper. Custom rock sliders. Custom rear tire carrier. Custom side windows in top and body. Paint inside of body flat black. Coils in all 4 corners backed with turned down RC4WD Dualrates. Custom spring/shock mounts. Thats pretty much what i can say now, im sure there will be more...if i know myself right! Here we go! Turned down RC4WD dualrate shocks. Start of bumper. Primerd Body. First coat of Tamiya Ts 49, it was to bright of a red so i sprayed a can of ts39 mica red and got the color i wanted. Mock up. Also got a rear tire carrier started. I did redo the lock becouse it was to sloppy, so i made a lock with an internal spring loaded allen screw that locks the gate. And the body where its at right now, its pretty much done. Maybe a roof rack will be added. All for now! |

nice. good job on the paint. i love these bodys and i am not even a jeep guy. i am a die hard yota guy but these jk get to me. good work but if i can say one thing. i HATE............ yep HATE!!!! the fender flares they put on these. i am not a fan on fender flairs on anything, some look ok but the NB jk flares are over board. other than that your build looks beautiful. |

I got the rear tire carrier done today, maybe the handle got a bit to long but i dont know if i can stand to re braze those small parts! And also started on a roof rack, i got the upper rail left to do. Im having a hard time deciding on the rack, is it a keeper or should i go without it?? I bet it will look much better painted and with the upper rail. |

looking good, but I have to ask, why repaint the body the same color (basically), is it just not showing up right in the pics?

How in the world did you paint the wipers, door handles window weather striping all black? If you tell me you masked it all off and spray painted it, WOW. Whats the secret? You did great. I should be getting some pics of mine up soon. Ill PM shoot you the link when there up.

with all the jk being build. it's hard to come up with a paint job outside the box. i think the red come out looking real nice. it beats the gheto red and black that comes on the body. keep it up. |
