Isn't the R-2 and that transfer case to much reduction? This thing is going to be slooooow.

Should be ok with a larger pinion and the motor I have in there ( that is a 550 21t single )

Have a bit more progress on the interior, the structure is all there, now I can start to make it actually look like something..

A little more progress...

I moved the transfer case up, and the batteries down a bit (very small amount, but every bit counts) here you can see how they all fit under the floor



I also continued filling the holes in the floor, here is a overall interior tub shot with out the body



I am considering using the last set of recaros I have, I was playing around with placement here..

Snuck into the basement while the girlfriend was giving the dog a bath...

I decided to start on the dash, obviously I still have a ways to go...

man this thing is sweet i watched the build of the sami ian built i would like to get the lexan sami body and build one like it but dont have the funds to but your doin a nice job i have an idea for ya it would be a cool adition to the sami theme make your own bead lock wheel like ian did on extreme

Ok I put it off long enough, time to get the good stuff started..

I needed a place to mount a winch, and something to protect the front of the body..

I started with some graph paper and made a template..


then using the bandsaw and bench vice, I transfered it to a sheet of steel




With winch mounted


Added a little stinger bar


and then added a little reinforcement






I'm hoping to move my focus to the rear tonight..
