Default Project "WTF"

Now that the new shop is set up it is time for a new build. I haven't even touched an R/C since the Scale nats in Montana last year, so I have been dying to start something new.

And no its not a Chevy

Watching Extreme 4x4 on spike has known to spawn an idea or two in my head (the truggy I built was inspired by the green S10 Ian built)
I have been a big fan of the Sami he built, and although its not a Sami, It is the inspiration for the start of this build.

Starting with a fresh Pajero body I picked up from Kaetwo.

Next came the masking tape, I couldn't possibly be painting already could I?

Here we go...

Then I borrowed the truggy for a minute to get an idea if I just waisted a new body or not...

I'm not sure exactly what i'm doing for running gear yet, I had originally thought that Axial axles would be to wide, but with the narrowed hexes It doesnt look that bad IMO.

the truggy is currently at a 10.5 wb, I probably will build this truck at 11 even.

I have a SCX-10 as well as a bunch of RC4wd parts on the way from RPP as we speak, I'll make the decision of what exactly I am going to do when it gets here..

there is an r2 and a transfer case that might make its way in this build coming too...

I have a few chassis options as well....

I think it looks perfect sitting on the truggy frame! Either way, whatever you come up with, this is going to be a really cool build.

Yeah I started building mine, then tore it all back apart and stole the axles for the 1.9 fo runna. I have a NIB body and a TSS chassis that is perfect for these and the Heep bodies I just need more TLT axles and more time...money...etc

I was going to crack open one of the 4 nib kits I have been hanging on to for dear life, but I may go Axial instead...

we'll see how it pans out tomorrow...

I did see that RCmart had some TLT axles listed on ebay for a fair price the other day

Wow never thought I'd see the day that you would build something OTHER than a Chevy! What is this world coming to?!

... Great looking build so far! Damn, makes me want to get a Pajero now.

that looks awesome! you KNOW I love it, lol...anytime someone cuts up a body is a good thing in my book, lol.

Its amazing how a little (or a lot) of bodywork changes the attitude of the little 'jero...grrrr.

we'll see you in montana...

[edit: save the back scrap. it'll make a nice addition to a longbed pajero pickup build, lol]

That is a Yota motor right? Or is it an Ecotech out of a Cobalt? The build is looking like a good start! I hope you tube them fenders like the Zuk from the show.

Yeah that's a supercharged Ecotec, and I do plan on having tube fenders, I haven't decided on an exo, or internal cage yet though..
