Default Roket's Escalade Build

I thought I'd start being a bit more active on here. This is a current work in progress of mine, as well as my first crawler. As the title says, I'm going for the "bling bling" look of an Escalade, but I plan on having it function as well as other scale crawlers.

Photoshop rendering I did, since nobody really builds Escalade crawlers. I needed something to base my build off of.

Some RC4WD goodies: X-Trail Chassis for Axial and the new Mud Thrasher tires.

HPI makes a pretty nice Escalade body. The WB is 10", so I'm going to run shorter links up front to get the axles to line up right.

Light buckets in. Instead of paint, I used foil tape.

Yokomo makes a pretty cool little kit with Windshield wipers and mirrors that I picked up at the LHS for like 4$.

Wound up buying a SCX-10. Since the wheelbase is longer, I needed a way to accomodate this...

Looks okay to me.

Next post: A trip to the park for some crawling!

I saw a 1:1 and couldn't resist.

2 good trail runs and I've already lost both mirrors and one of the lug caps. This thing is too much fun!
