Default Jeep Wrangler YJ....

I decided to do a build for the new wrangler body coming out.
it will be a leaf sprung chassis and follow all the curves of the real chassis.
the chassis is made out of 1/4" alum and has a c-channel as well. going to run a rc4wd tranfer case and use a axial tranny to power it.
here are a couple of shots do far....

i say paint the tlt's black; that way when they get scratched the silver will show through just like it would on a 1:1

What chassis is that? I've been wanting to do the same thing with my Jeep Wrangler for awhile. Thanks

I'm dying to see how the body looks on it, and with those tires. Awesome frame!

body fits nice on the chassis. just need to figure how high i want it to sit, and to find a good mounting place.

Looks like a good start! Tires are very large. Mud thrashers look better

I'm new to this and I'm starting to plan a scale jeep build. I'm really curious where you guys are getting the bodies from? Ebay? I've seen a few of the tamyia jeeps but they are 400.00-500.00 is there another source?
