| I have not been thrilled with the stock highlift GC. The truck is great but gets stuck on everything. I have looked at mods that guys have done and thought I could do better. I wanted to keep the tranny where it is in the frame and loose and inch from the bottom. I like the three speed. This mod kept the tranny in it's stock location and works great. I used two endplates, welded them together and stacked the gears off to the side. I then made a rear cover from two rears. You have to weld up a notch where the cover now sticks outside the frame and bring it out a bit but it's way better looking.Bend the bottom tube a bit and that's it. It performs so well, it can go over just about any rock now. ![]() ![]() |
