Hello all, I've been asked many many times to come out with a 1.9" scale chassis, mostly directed towards those wishing to convert the MRC into a scale rig.. I want to create something that you all want! So I have a few questions. 1. What is your preferred wheelbase? 2. Do you prefer a chassis that uses your stock links, allows you to make your own or come with the links? 3. aluminum or delrin? I've been asked to do both.. 4. Servo mount option on frame rails? 5. Preferred side rail width? Any other suggestions please mention them. I've got some renderings here just want to ask you all what you want prefer it hits the table for cutting.

That's would be very interesting to replicate 2 or 3 different chassis, many people using the MRC axles use Jeep and Samurai bodies for example. There are already a few non realistic scale chassis for the MRC on the market, that would be cool to come up with something scaler. For a scale chassis I would prefer aluminium, with the servo on board and the possibility to have a leaf spring set up.

either alum or delrin, designed to take 11-12" wheelbase (custom links, EASY), servo-mounted servo would be key (maybe a kit like MSD?), width narrow enough to clear shocks outside the framerails on TLTs or wider... my $.02

So fair my design will allow the servo to mount on the chassis, will allow the use of a panhard setup and has movable shock towers from a 10-12" wheelbase..

Since several people make crew cab bodies and such, someone ought to make an adjustable wb chassis (or at lease one in various lengths). Something to accomodate extra long bodies.

besides the most abvious stated above... my only concern would be to make a more rigid chassis then anything. Ex: SCX10 C-frame has to much flex for my liking, im thinking now that i should have gone with a different rig such as the venom creeper which also comes with locking diffs off the fly. itll be interesting to see what you come up with in the end.

Are u guys wanting a direct bolt on for the MRC, one something that can be used for all anything? I'm working on incorporating a leaf spring setup as well.

Here is a rough draft of the chassis I will be cutting out. Currently I have more holes then neccesary simply to try some things for mock up. The holes in the front look cluttered, but thats simply because they all have there options ![]() #1- Is where I plan to test the panhard bar setup, (panhard mount will be provided) 3 holes allow you 3 different mounting positions. The 2 holes center of the plate up front will hold mounts that allow you to accommodate the servo for steering and also one for those wishing to create a winch. #2-Shows a 3 stage stagger setup for the shock towers. (Towers will be provided) This allows you to move the towers forward or back to accommodate the wheel wells of the body you wish to run, the towers themselves will also have a few adjustments allowing you to further tune the wheelbase. I also plan to mount an inboard shock mount for the rear for those wishing to go that route as well. #3- This is where you will mount your upper links to the chassis, multiple holes forward, back, low and high to tune for what your needing. The bottom chassis also has an assortment of holes, allowing you the user to move your transmission forward or back and/or your links. it will also allow you to mount your links inboard rather than out creating a more realistic chassis. Suggestions and criticism welcome!

I currently don't have a MRC scale rig so I think it would be best to have a direct swap chassis for the MRC, with a 10 to 12 inch wheelbase. The drawing look great.

I would say go with the shorter wheelbase.. There are enough of the longer wheelbased chassis out there.. (not that options arent nice) but I like shorter wheelbased rigs, and it would be nice to have a chassis that is easily hackable to accomodate said short truck... Your design looks cool waiting to see more!
