Time for some maintenance...clean/lube, check bolts and maybe get Eddie to rebuild my motor. I might even make new sliders and a front bumper....and put full seats in. Also, I have had this MaddogRC 5" lightbar for while and finally decided to mount it up. The housing is made out of aluminum and it really strong and reallllllly bright! Maddog RC: "chino63" Scale 5" LED Light Bar MDRC007 I also got some GearHead fabtabs, I love the fact there drilled so you just need to tap them to 3mm. Also, the metal is somewhat thick so there is no issues when brazing. Link to RPPhobby website... Gear Head Fabrication Tabs (4) The bottom two tab will be for my RC4WD shovel. RC4WD Boulder Billet Scale Shovel with D-Grip Just a few washers to have the lightbar peek over the cab a bit. Just a tip for people, to mark the location of the brackets, just make a quick Dremel cut make because a sharpie will just get removed when heating the metal up. |

| Re: Justin's Street(1.9) Truck: SCX10 Hilux.... Got some brazing done…..I filled in the original shock holes in the shock hoops, I was afraid it might not last. I added some GearHead fab tabs for the new shock mounts. I also wanted to decrease the amount the shock is angled a bit. I don’t think the tabs them self will be strong enough, so I will use an Axial link cut to size to brace the tabs and for the shocks to bolt too. Decided to redo the way the rear bed mounts to the frame. I used 4 GearHead Fab Tabs and the tabs will be bolted on the outside of the frame rails…using the stock hole locations (no more drilling holes into the SCX10 frame rails). I also picked up some brand new SCX10 frame rails(old ones had too many holes…lol.) |

Here are a few pics on how did my CMS (Chassis Mounted Steering) setup. I just used a axial servo plate (Part# AX30485). TowerHobbies.com | Axial Servo Plate AX10 Scorpion Dremeled the inside of the servo plate so the servo can sit flush againest the plate for stregnth. And this is how it currently sits. |

Got the light bar wired up and switch installed. I used a MadDogRC wiring harness(in line Deans for the power and mini Deans to connect to the lightbar). MDRC016 Rear accessories bolted in. Again, I really like the "Fab Tabs"...no extra holes drilled into the chassis. Also swapped in a GearHead 4-link mount. But I would only suggest using this mount in the rear of your truck because it sits a bit high. Gear Head 4-Link Truss for Axial AX10 or SCX10 (1) |

I haven't drove this thing since August and it got pretty beat up during the "Oregon Vs Washington" events (>>PICS<<). I needed to get this ready for last weekends WARCRC scale comp, so put in a new front axles housing and went through all the bearings and CVD/driveline joints. I will start it off with a really bad cell phone picture....lol. Dirty old man! Time to make a new cab, I might not use the dingo fender flares and use the wrangler one. Used a little windex and hot water to clean the tires. Time for some love...lol. Axle out. With the new axle housings, the C-Hubs hold a lot tighter now. With the Super 300's CVDs, I use a little super glew to hold the bearings in, the CVD's don't have bearing stops. If you dont' super glue the bearing in, the bearing will walk out and self destruct (>>LINK<<). Moo. :P |

New housing and diff greased (I use VP grease). Used a little "low strength" Loctite to hold the knuckles on. This shock failure didn't happen on the yota but on my C3, I had to swap it after a course on the Oregon Vs Washington event. I have had these proline shocks for a while now and have a lot of sets...but never had a c-clip come off inside the shock...my C3 chevy must be a pig...lol. All clean. I didn't want to repaint the cab so I added some rust effects(>>LINK<<), not the greatest but you get the point...lol. |
