| My Dove-Nosed Yota Truggy Build
Well I finally got around to getting my build up on the boards. I wanted to do something that hasnt (or isnt done much) been done before. So I decided to build a yota truggy, but with a twist Axial axles w/ all the goodies Pede trans w/ 45t motor Hitec 645MG servo custom dovenosed hilux cab K2-3L Chassis 1.9 SCX wheels 1.9 G8 Flatirons It is sitting WAY high right now, but I think I am going to make it full droop, since it looks really good on there. I still need to make the EXO and the truggy rear end. I am hoping to atleast get it running by the comp Last edited by Going Up!; 06-17-2009 at 08:16 PM. |

You should def. run full droop. Would make it look much better IMO.

I think either height you choose will look killer. It looks great now I think, but droop would look great too. So which ever you choose will look great, well to me anyways ;).

The rear is going to be all tubed out I havent decided on the height yet, since I will be making the cage out of solid 3/16" rod, I wanna see how that will weigh it down before I decide to eith full droop it or not. Since that stuff is pretty heavy, it might weight it down just right. |

solid rod is going to wiegh it done a bit. 3/16 brake line should be plenty strong enough and light so u could run the droop.

Since I last posted I drooped the suspension, and I think it looks WAY better!! I also switched out the miss-matched links for all matching links, and some other random stuff Last edited by Going Up!; 06-11-2009 at 11:16 PM. |

| updated pics of my yota
So here are some updated pics from my yota. I modified it a bit to crawl a bit better and look a tad more scale. I lowered it and put some losi mini crawler shocks on, threw new axial bead lock rims and thrasher tires, trimmed the body and fenders and remounted the electronics and working on the interior. Like I said Im definitely not to your level so I cant wait to see how yours turns out. Thanks for the compliments Last edited by Toycrawler5481; 06-15-2009 at 10:40 AM. |

id shorten the front links. the comp crawler look isnt quite right for a scaler. and wouldnt it be narrowed not bobtailed? either or, sweet project. bring that front axle back in, and the rear tubed out and youll have one badass scaler! ;) |

| Try this
You could put some wheel fenders on there to help tuck those tires. |

I dont know what it is, I just love the look of the front end pushed out a bit, I plan on cutting out the fenders to clear the tires when felxing, but I think once the cage work is all done, it will be one sick rig. I need to play with it, and see what I should do, The access frame sticking out past my rear shock towers will be cut off, once I figure out the cage. |
