nice work on the weathering.
might want to get some black behind the front bumper though (like 1:1). you shouldnt see red behind the two openings in the bumper.

other than that, well done!

I'm just wondering why people make a scale build with a toyota and have the shackles in the front like a jeep? Other than that i like it.

I like it. I also would change the shackles in the front to the rear and make a fixed mount in the front. As good as you have done the body theirs no need to stop the untra scaleism their!! Thanks for sharing.

Very Cool looking Hilux!! The Trail Finder kit is a good one but does need some tweaking. Good suggestions by everyone here but, it is YOUR rig, so if YOU are happy with it, keep it the way YOU want!

Unfortunately that is how the Trail Finder kit comes. I know it is weird. I built my Trail Finder Hilux like that originally and it bothered me so I eventually set it up with the shackles in the rear and used OG Bruiser leafs.

The original build

This is how it sits now. Much better.

Though one thing I never did and always want to, but I keep forgetting, is painting the areas behind the voids in the front bumper black. Thanks for reminding me Pablo (though I'll just keep putting it off!)

This is one of the few toyotas I like. After a while I got sick of them cause theres like 10,000 on here but this ones cool and I like ur driving style. It looks like you could get like 30 degrees more out of ur steering though lol. That would help too.

Yes i agree on the degrees of the steering but you see, if i add more steering then i will cause the dogbone to mesh, or dont know how to explain it cause my english is not 100%
but this D40's had this problem that when you make your steering better the dogbone gets like halfway out so it starts to mesh i think is the word and it gets all chewed and destroyed.
thats why i have this low steering, that way the dogbone will keep inside of the axle shaft i think its called.
hope i was clear to explain it.
now RC4WD hace Heavy Duty Axle Shafts which you can find here http://www.rc4wdstore.com/2/product_...roducts_id=729
but they dont come originaly inside d40 its a aftermarket part.
thanks for the comment supermud

That looks great, I like the narrower tires and wheels on there, they really bring in the track width nicely. And that animated driver is awesome.
