Looks good so far! With all these good builds going around for the MRC I don't know what I'm going to build. But this looks good, can't wait to see the finished product.

well, this is frustrating, i could have made more progress if i hadn't broken that screw mentioned above, now i need to go try to find one or order the whole screw set for this thing. gerrr!! (if anyone has one to part with or an idea where i can get one that would be sweet!!)

im trying to figure out where to place things and i was looking at the old battery plate from the stock chassis and decided that if i chopped it and glued it back together it would work perfectly and i can just mount my shocks on the shock mount of the original plate.

for the esc and the rx they will get a nice home in a safe dry project box from radio shack mounted above the trans. since im not going to do an interior.

got my shocks mounted up on the rear

heres how i built them with bic click springs, i hated how the springs looked on the outside.

also took apart a venom mini monster shock and mounted it as a steering link (its the same exact length) so it kinda looks like a steering damper. for not im leaving the servo on the axel. oh i almost forgot i also need to waterproof that sucker (more of a note for me)

again thanks for looking, if anyone has suggestions they would be appreciated. or if something looks stupid let me know too.

Is the bolt you broke an allen(hex) head? If so it's a standard m3 bolt.

I order all my screws for all my projects through Fastenal, the local store does not stock anything smaller than 4mm but the website does, order what you need to be shipped to your local store and there is no shipping charge. Usually takes about 3 days to get except for the order I am waiting on now. I can get 100 3mm x 16mm button head screws in plain (black) for about $6. It is well worth looking into, much cheaper than any LHS.

a small update, well actually its big cause now its drive able, i mounted the body with velcro at first but when ever i hit a rock it would move and it just wasent sticking that well. so tonight i decided to take some plexiglass and bend up a hinge also mounted the project box with it, its pretty fun to drive, a bit of a different than stock. now just for some scale accessories and im down for business, i have an old finger bike and a some rope made but need to make some budgie cords to hold the bike in or timmy isnt getting his christmas present. well on to the pictures.

Curious. You'd think in a tiny town, you'd be able to get tiny screws!

I'm not that big of a hummer fan, but I like the MRC scaler you've got going there.
