Default hi-lift Questions

Im thinking about running some NOSTR events and I have a stock hi-lift hilux, my only mods are some 1.9 Flatirons. I dont want to change the tranny in the truck because I LOVE the 3 speed, I also want to keep it on leaf springs. I was wondering what I could put in it for a motor (brushed) with out making it unbearble to turn or start breaking parts. I have been throught 20+ pages of threads and well im tired of looking. I was also wondering how much i can raise the tranny with out having to go to longer drive shafts. I love my truck i dont want to change much but I want to be competetive. If it wont with out a lot of mods i may just buy an scx10. any help would be great.

Thanks

Bull

I have an SCX and a Hi Lift Crew cab on a Tundra chassis. I would just buy an SCX and be done with it if I were you. Very nice truck for the price and very capable out of the box. Hi Lifts are awesome but too heavy and too much you have to change to make them competitive.
