Mrc Zook.. hey guys this is my first scaler plans are basically a stock losi mrc with a zook shell and go from there... still waiting on the mrc But here is my shell Basic idea http://i79.photobucket.com/albums/j1...c/SDC10035.jpg Back from pain and efects http://i79.photobucket.com/albums/j1...SDC10053-1.jpg http://i79.photobucket.com/albums/j1...c/SDC10056.jpg one for the gamers! http://i79.photobucket.com/albums/j1...c/SDC10055.jpg bonnet http://i79.photobucket.com/albums/j1...c/SDC10058.jpg the actual mrc should be here some time this week! also looking at going to leaf springs as well! all for now "thumbsup" till the mrc arrives anyways! |
Nice work, but carbon fiber goes on race cars. :-p lol Nice work man! |
Looks very good! Leaf springs are going to be sick! X2 on the carbon fiber, it looks good but I think flat black would have been a great choice for the hood. I cant wait to see how you set up the leaf springs. |
Looken good so far man. Keep the pic's comming. "thumbsup" |
cool body i think it looks great! |
looking good just dont know about the hood. cant wait to see action pix. |
thanks guys... i like the carbon fiber as no one elce has done it and i have scene a pic on pirate of a zook with a real carbon fiber one!! losi still didn't arrive today so still waiting... here is my inspiration for this.. my real zook (that i sold last week) http://i79.photobucket.com/albums/j1...w/d8d24f3c.jpg does any one know what the best derelin leaf springs are??? |
i like the body man! to each his own. i have tried TCS delrin springs on one of my bruiser hybrids but it had ALOT of axle wrap. plus the rig is a pig. can't wait to see this one finished8) |
It arived! just need to get some body mounting posts tomorrow... some one silly (like me) didn't have any big enough for it! but stoked... as usual some pics for you all! body is propped up on some glasses cleaning stuff.. (all i could find the right hight) http://i79.photobucket.com/albums/j1...c/SDC10060.jpg http://i79.photobucket.com/albums/j1...c/SDC10062.jpg http://i79.photobucket.com/albums/j1...c/SDC10063.jpg http://i79.photobucket.com/albums/j1...SDC10064-1.jpg shall have out in the dirt tomorrow! |
sweet body, i like the hood and your 1:1 is sweet too bad you got rid of it. are you going with a different chassis or staying stock?? |
well got it out today! the charger was a Chinese one! so different voltage! so it turned out cheaper to get a new lipo for it than a charger! so new 900mah lipo and so far all is good seem to get plenty of run time out of it! this thing is FUN to drive! very light and power full! has no issue lifting front wheels in air etc! didn't get any pics out in the dirt but it is fun! i have mounted the body slightly to high so i can run a semi droop set up at some stage! anyways some new pics for you all http://i79.photobucket.com/albums/j1...c/SDC10067.jpg http://i79.photobucket.com/albums/j1...c/SDC10068.jpg http://i79.photobucket.com/albums/j1...c/SDC10069.jpg http://i79.photobucket.com/albums/j1...c/SDC10073.jpg |

Nice Cool Blue! Thats a nice looking crawler."thumbsup" |
ok well.. after me winding about the zook being to light, i had a look at it today and said F-it.. i can build a chassis... sorry keeno.. so i went down to caprial and for $6 i ended up with what i needed... (25x10mm flat 1 meter and some other assorted off cuts for the fun of it!) not much has been done as of yet But the basic design is down (very similar to the one above) i have also decided to add a fair wack of weight to the little thing.. as the mrc is about as light as a feather in stock form, and i want it to be more scale style... here is a teaser pic for you all http://i79.photobucket.com/albums/j1...c/SDC10160.jpg i am thinking of trying to make the leafs from spring steel and seeing how we go from there... stay tuned i should have a fair bit of this done buy end of weekend! :) |
sweet crawler awesome looking body and nice pics :) |
where did you get the zuk shell from? |
thanks for the comments guys... the zook shell came from a local guy! i am stuck atm with fking swine flue so getting a bit done.. only issue is i have no tools here and am not aloud to leve the house! *see quarantine* so going is a tad slow! but it is comeing along! http://i79.photobucket.com/albums/j1...c/SDC10163.jpg http://i79.photobucket.com/albums/j1...c/SDC10162.jpg http://i79.photobucket.com/albums/j1...c/SDC10167.jpg http://i79.photobucket.com/albums/j1...c/SDC10166.jpg http://i79.photobucket.com/albums/j1...c/SDC10165.jpg |
