Default 83´Dodge Ram D150 truggy

Time for a new project:-P

Actually I started this almost a year ago-->Dodge Ramcharger but I got bored with it and got carried away with other projects (monkeybikes). A few days ago I suddenly got my motivation back and decided to finish the truck once and for all.
The truck is inspired by 51WillysJeep:s "Petersen 4Wheel&Offroads Ultimate K10" project, but it will be totally different other than the paint which is going to be yellow.

The Specs:

-TLT-axles
-homemade alloy chassis
-Axial trans
-Four-linked front and rear with drop suspension in the rear and coilovers in front
-S.D.I trail doc xl:s
-hitec hi-torque servo
- motor from a electric drill mounted in front with a rc4wd 4:1 gear reducion unit

The frame will need a total rebuild and new paint. The body gets a rear firewall out of styrene and a complete interior, it will be painted yellow on the outside and silver on the inside.

I haven´t quite figured out the rear end yet: should I make a flatbed, should I cut the framerails and make a small rollcage or should I just make a regular bed? Suggestions please.

I started by brutally cutting the ramcharger body in half and shaping a rear firewall out of two plates of 2mm thick styrene:

WOW - Thanks man- Glad I could be of some inspiration!!

Your off to a great start Man..! That rear firewall came out SWEET.. Heres my .02 cents - Just make sure you run some lower braces out of styrene from the rear firewall down and attatch them to the lower portion of the body somehow like I did with the K-10. Then It will be almost indestructable if it rolls over..!! Looking forward to more progress- keep up the nice work..! Subscribed..!!

Congrats on doing something different.

If you are going to redo the frame I would cut the square tubing n half. Then you would have a C-channel chassis.

And go with a wooden flatbed. That would fit that old dodge.

Thanks guys:-D I´m glad you like it.

Made some progress yesterday and today:

Made braces for the rear firewall and glued it to the cab It came out super
srong, I will put some screws to hold it totally in place. I may get the cab painted tomorrow, hopefully

I also took the chassis apart and got it ready for painting.

Crawln Coles: I thought about cutting the framerails, but then I could not attach anything to them so I`m just gonna leave them like that.

I´m leaning towards this solution to the rear: cut the framerails shorter and make a fuel cell and a toolbox and possibly a small rollbar, how does it sound?

That came out real nice.

For the rear?I would say go for a tubebed.

I also started to make a rollcage, still a work in progress, needs some more tubes:

The body is already a bit scratched up because I had to take a test drive

Thanks everybody

Yep, it's been awhile, and actually I haven't got anything new done to this:? But when I have my other projects out of the way I will finish this, so stay tuned.
I will make a new rollcage, rocksliders, bumber, some kind of interior and I will propably buy new tires and wheels also
