| Hermits Chevy Scaler '09
Its been 5 months since I felt done with my build. TLT based k2-5 chassis My old clod body from like 1996. axial trans 1.9 msd wheels 1.9 mudslingers Traxxas slash electronics I had been debating a color to help give my scaler a new look and get ready to show off at our local "Car Show" this comeing mid July. I found some time to sand the old purple body down about four months ago, and then took a break to comp. our local club's points season. I ended the season second in the points standings. Now its time to finnish this unfinishable project. Any ways, Here is the the supposed look of my scaler: Fire engine yellow. Or close to it. Red was a frontline candidate but there where many RED chevy's out there, and only like one other yellow one. So Yellow it is. I also got the custome pipe racks painted. But now I will need to figure a way to mount them so It dont keep falling off. Pai' ea: A small, hard shell crab found near oceans that make there home on rough jagged rocks. |

Figured a way to mount my pipe rack's. I brazed tamiya bolts tot he bottom of the racks and drilled holes in the bed to allow 3m screws to hold um. I should have figured this out before painting the rack. I had to repaint, DOI. I got some scale lights on order and looking foward to doing some electrical work for a change. Also I have a 1/12 scale bobcat in the mail, and will be needing to fab a scale trailor to hat the machine. Any Ideas on a trailor, Post um. |

fantastic color! At first I thought it might look better with the white like chevy's usually have but I searched for a sample image and had a hard time finding one. found plenty of 1:1 all yellows though so you're probably right leaving it all yellow for a more scale look. |
