With the exo-cage and all the stuff I have added this truck is pretty much bullet proof. I take it off sweet jumps, dives or whatever. Only thing I have broken is an axial trans output shaft and one of the body posts threads have stripped out, easily fixed though.
It weighs about 7.5lbs. I set it up to keep all the electronics up front for good climbing. But when you add the weight of the cab/exo-cage it gets tippy.

SuperBoy did all that cage work. The yota body is in there too. I'll have to cut out the back cab peice if I ever need to separate the cab from the cage again.

Yeap, Tekin Fx-R with Handwound 35T makes it pretty quick with great wheelspeed.

How you like those Rok Locs? I really really wanna try a set out, could use the extra height! If you dont mind and have the info available, what do your wheel/tire combos weigh?

The Rok Lox's are a great tire. They grab on all types of rocks and will hook up in the dirt too. The height is perfect for my truck. They can be too tall for other rigs. They probably wouldn't fit as well if the front end wasn't narrowed up.
I run the stock foams too (with vent holes in tires). Since the truck is kinda heavy @ 7.5lbs, the foams work fine without any mods.
No weights, all the same setup.

I can pull one off tonight and weigh it.

Cool, got that cleared up.
In Going Up! 's original thread for this truck, several months ago, he mentioned it was "out for cage work". Never did state who did the work, so I just figured he did. He never said, "yeah, I did the metal work". I put your name in this thread for credit for the cage.

You did a good job, it's really solid and isn't going to break or bend. It gets complements everywhere I take it.

you might try some lead weights down low, where
you got the boat sides.
i put some on my fj as low as possible,it helped,
but shes still a pig.

i love the looks of it.

Very nice! The realistic exo, tires, and windows make this truck look awesome. One of the best I've seen IMO.

Damn, I was wishing earlier that I would have done and exo on mine. I might have to build one now. How is it mounted? That was my biggest issue :-/

I don't get to run it alot with cameras around cause I am usually 2.2 compin' and we don't run scalers a ton. I have been expanding my home rockpile for more of a scale setup.

Definitely the RoxLox are a great tire.

Thank you sir. It just needs some extra weights on the bottom of the chassis to help it controll the top heaviness.

One screw on through the hood using a delrin post to the chassis.
Just under the back of the doors, two aluminum posts to the side of the chassis.
Here is Going Up!'s first post to this build.
My Dovetailed Yota Truggy Build
Last picture shows one of the cab mounts to the side of the frame. Then the cage was build by SuperBoy around the cab and it's mounted position.
It works good, even with the weight of the cage. So, only three mounting points.
One post threads' is getting stripped and I need to replace it.
