Default New clothes for the Bronco

I finally got tired looking at my old Bronco body. The body was originally made years ago to fit my then stock AX10, hence the holes on the sides and the hacked fenders. I went through a few sets of tires and when RC4WD came out with the Rok Lox I finally found the look I was after.

First stage, just finished:

Second one, scale accessories added, lifted on RC4WD coilovers and SDI tril docs on Axial beadlocks:

Third try on the wheels, Rok Lox on OEM black steel beadlocks:

I think we have a winner!

Now the body really started to bug me. The holes on the side looked like crap and the bumpers had started to show their age. Also, the wild willy winch "roller" fairlead was chewed to bits.

I wanted a darker gray, so I painted the new body with Tamiya gunmetal:

Gave the bumpers a new coat of black, added shackles to the front bumper and made a new fairlead for the winch:

I left the holes on the bumper, I'm waiting for a set of 3racing lights to make new spotlights. Old ones bought it jumping over a ditch... ;)

ProLine rock sliders and Axial hubs, they fit nicely when turned down a bit and painted:

The tire still tucks in nicely. I lifted the body 6mm to accommodate the extra body on the front and back. LEDs are hidden behind the decals:

The tires and wheels are REALLY nice. They almost made this scaler into a crawler No holes drilled, no weight added, original foams and they are just right for this rig and its weight. As the Bronco body is really closer to 1/8, the tire size in 1/1 would be 36" on 15" wheel. RC4WD

Looks great, I like the color and good choice on tires.
