| pajero evo, full independent suspensions
Hi, here 's one of my last projects , the conversion of a touring car ( ofna Ld3 I guess) into a trail beater , originally I bought that car for a few bucks on ebay to use the knuckles on my solar rc car ..but the winter is coming so I need to use the whole parts for something else: I've made an other bent chassis from aluminium and reversed the spur gear to the front diff here are some comparison pics to a 1.9tlt scale chassis the COG is really better on he I.S. chassis even with the battery in and none in the tlt. suspension were improved to get 3.5cm under the front diff and 4cm rear , the little 385motor has a 11/1 gear buit in so I have about 73/1 overall ratio, it's a bit slow so I'll run it with a 3s lipo to get a decent wheelspeed Last edited by SilverRidge; 12-07-2009 at 12:52 PM. |

Wow. Looks great. The 1:1 of that version of the Pajero is independent suspension too. |

The tamiya chassis ta02based are even better for that kind of building cause they have the driveshaft upper the diff gears and front clearance is better . But the motor mount limit the choice of pignon , it's fine if you could use a geared motor that directly works on the driveshaft rather than use the stock motor mount , if you do , don't forget to fill all empty holes: the tamiya's gears don't really like dust in them .. | |
