Default formtheday's 6x6 build

Here was the initial idea...



Many thanks to Bartos Chassis for cutting out the frame and making the awesome wheels!! Great products!! Check them out in the vendors section.


Parts:
RC4WD R2 tranny
Punisher shafts
Tomahawk 1.9 tires
Solid steel links
Axial axles
Bartos 6x6 chassis and 1.9 wheels.



shock res's will be mounted and not sticking up...









Soon to come will be a styrene body ( MAN, Tatra, undecided..)

Off to a great looking start, can't wait to see more. You say Axial axles and that is what is in the first pic, where did you get the new axle cases that allow for the pass through of the center axle?

Thanks!! You need two axles, take the two halves with the output side, lay in the extra output shaft, shave off the lip on both sides and its that easy.

i saw this pic and saw the turret and thought this was going to real interesting for a minute

Made some progress on the body. Still have a lot to do like adding fuel tanks, the main winch, interior, lights, etc. I'm happy with the way the orange turned out.
Had to drive it around a bit and snapped a couple shots.

Nice crawler and all not a real big fan of 6x6's but I like it, but couldnt you have made it a Peterbilt?

Great job! How does it perform? Is the cab heavy?

I found I had to add quite a bit of weight to my tires to get it to side hill decently.

Orange is good. Looks very aggressive with those tires.

Damm'-it all the 6x6's that I've seen being bilt' lately and now I want one too' - I got anuff Emaxx' diff's to make one out of - and I know how to put two diff's half's together to get a pass thru' diff' as well' - just need to get another set of wheel's and tire's to get it up on it own. Damm'-it now i want a 6x6 rescue rig' to now shit'-yeah. And this is a sweet bilt' you got going on here brotha' keep the pic's and update's coming as well'.

Performs great, I'll get some video up soon. No issues side hilling, there will eventually be a little more weight when the interior is put in. I may need to add some weight to the front wheels if it starts getting tipsy.
