so peer pressure is a bitch.. Glad I listened though. Took forever, but I am still figuring this out.

I'm sure the real machinists on here will flip out at my mounting method, but it worked out.

ooo blingy, and sharp!

and then...

Very nice work there.

(in kung fu voice) I am not familiar with that style, your methods are crude yet very effective.

So I'm pretty sure I figured out the front links now, shortened up the lowers about 1/4 inch which brought the wheelbase in. Then I started messing with the 3 link mount on the axle.

This is what I came up with, single shear now. It seems beefy enough to not have to worry about breaking. If it does I can always try and make an aluminum one. I also trimmed the ear down, and made a sleeve so I could mount a m3 screw in the lower hole.

Panhard made out of 3/16 4130 tubing, everything seems to bottom out at the same point now.

Mocked everything up again to start measuring for shocks, need to do some research on what's good now a days, I'd like longer shocks in the rear and I would like to have them before I make new front and rear shock mounts.

Sitting at 12 3/4 wheel base now.

I think it looks better with the front brought in a bit

I also thought this was kinda funny. I had set the hack chassis one day upside down on this truck, and that's how the 1.9 idea was born.. Looks like I got the proportions right..

New? Did they redesign them? 'Cause the only ones I've ever used kinda suck. It takes alot of work to get them to perform decent.

I thought I saw somewhere they were redesigned?

I dunno, I'd like something still scale looking and available in multiple lengths..
Thought about using the yeti size icons, but the ones on my yeti seem to leak a bit..

I got a set of kings and a set of Rock Krawlers. The Krawlers seem to work better than the kings do.

So this shock thing is kinda bugging me, I'd really like to figure out something for the rear, I've never really liked how it was just kinda stuck on looking back there..

Borrowed a yeti front to see how bad the thicker shocks would look..

Less room for sure, but I don't think it looks horrible either.. They leak too apparently, but I gotta imagine the larger volume would perform better. If this was still a 2.2 rig I would probably use them no question..

Front one on the rear, I'm pretty sure they come in the wraith length so... (Yeti rears are waaaay long)

Then i guess I forgot I have a extra pair of 110 kings.. I have no clue how they work though, the rig I have hem on isn't finished yet. Could be cool to do a dual rear setup (just for looks I know..)

Or I guess I could just leave the prolines.. But the rear bugs me for some reason.

I had the Kings on my Subarux. I used a real shock oil in them and dialed the tension properly and I really liked the way the truck worked with them at the ECSC comp. I still think the smoothest are the pro lines but the Kings just have that awesome look.

If proline offered a touch longer rear I think I'd just do that..

Part of me thinks the inner structure of that rear tube work needs to be reworked anyway.

If you run the Kings, use 2000-3000 wt diff oil in them, it'll help a lot. I also switched the springs out to Axial springs.

3/16 steel tubing and traxxas rod ends for a steering link. I've always used revo ends but I'm wondering if it's overkill. I really like how the smaller hardware and tube looks. I might remake my uppers in smaller diameter as well..

I am not a fan of the kings for performance, but I say go with the dual king set up... it just looks right

Nice Job Andy, wish I had a mill at home. My buddy who has been a machinist for 30 years has a hobby mill I use. He cringes when I use the same mounting method as you. Works like a champ for RC car parts

yeah id stay away from the kings or rc4wd for performance shocks....

if you dont mind the diameter try the Gmade XD series.
there super smooth and amazing dampning, and mine havent leaked a drop. i think i now own 3 sizes i was so impressed. they have a cool cartrige seal design.
i never thought id say this but they are the nicest shocks ive ever owned.

i run the aeration series. the top bleeder screw is awesome. the piggyback/resevoir series were too bulky for me.

youll want softer springs though
