x2 on the stance! looking real good. I think flat doors would be sweet as well. Impressive work! |
Got a little more done, focused on the rear of the cage a bit, also mounted my rear light buckets. http://i1148.photobucket.com/albums/...c/DSC07107.jpg still trying out the panels http://i1148.photobucket.com/albums/...c/DSC07117.jpg http://i1148.photobucket.com/albums/...c/DSC07114.jpg that's it for today, should get more done this week... |
what do you use to grind down all your welds? |
Lately I have been using a right angle die grinder with various sanding and scotch brite disks. |
I vote for factory panels, but why not braze in some nuts to be able to do flat panels later if you want, or be able to switch it up if you feel like? When are you going to put the beadlock rings and mount the tires? |
That thing is sick! I think you should for sure stick with the 3d panels, much better that flats. The only thing I don't like is how the windshield bar goes over top of the crossbar. |

need to get wheel weights, then I'll mount up the tires Quote:
I'm not that happy with the windshield bar myself, I may cut it back out and just ditch it. I think the way I did the brow isn't flowing well into a windshield bar. |

I've never been a fan of a single downbar. |

that was the original idea, First try they were so sucked in that it looked ridiculous. I actually got tired of messing with it, thats when I moved on to the rear. I think I may need to redo the brow. I'll see what I can come up with this week "thumbsup" |
Another vote for the factory panels. This thing is turning out sick!!! |
Man you have to much Talent and time... Keep it up...:) |

Got 95% of the cage done today, all the bracing and such. All that is left to do are mounts for the panels, accessories etc.. I did officially make it so its next to impossible to get the skid back out, I sure as hell had fun getting it in there after I added the bracing:roll: http://i1148.photobucket.com/albums/...c/DSC07133.jpg http://i1148.photobucket.com/albums/...c/DSC07134.jpg Did the final cuts on the body, I hope I like it in the end, because I can NOT find another one.. I think it still has that KOH rig look, while keeping the idea of the original body. http://i1148.photobucket.com/albums/...c/DSC07143.jpg http://i1148.photobucket.com/albums/...c/DSC07147.jpg Modified my Reign scale seats, needed to lean them back a little to fit, quick work on the belt sander but I made a MESS! http://i1148.photobucket.com/albums/...c/DSC07141.jpg Here is an idea of how they will fit. I think they are just about perfect. http://i1148.photobucket.com/albums/...c/DSC07159.jpg That's all for now, now on to making everything fit inside. |
