I have to ether run it in the back or try what you did. Thanks
The original idea was to run the battery sideways under the cowl, but I decided to put bracing in the way, and I'm fond of the look since you can see it now, so I had to make it work, I bought 4 batteries to use for this rig.

Thanks Jason, I think this is on its way to being my new favorite rig. I am trying to test myself with this one.

Don't encourage him, then he's just a better chance at beating all of us

Rig looks great. Two weeks is plenty of time! Who among us haven't built up rigs from scratch in less time than that?

I'm still kicking the idea of starting a 1.9 rig

Me too, just waiting for my XJ body to arrive. All under the pretense that it's for my son (which it is, but Dad's got to test and tune it first ).

OK, so I got a bit more progress today.

-Finished the winch servo mount
-Cut out and replaced the brow and center bars in the roof.
-made new side panels
-got the light bar made and installed.

Some things to note.

I ended up going with the flat panels due to the factory ones not cooperating, I think what I came up with still achieves the look I was going for. In fact I like it better.

I am a lot happier with the roof now.

MIG welding on 2.5mm nuts is a royal PITA

I am not sold on the light bar, I am going to leave it for a few days, But right now I want to cut it off and just go with hidden rock lights for my front lights.

I need to get the interior worked out, and make a fuel cell to hide the RX and ESC. Then it is ready to blow apart for paint and final assembly. I have less than 2 weeks now before I load my truck for the trip to Montana. It's go time

that's all for today.
