Now that looks good. I think what was said was not to remove the windshield brace, but not to have it overlap the frame brace and make it a V rather than a single piece. But it looks sick. cant wait to see it done.

Andy another thought on the light bar is to "sink" it into the headache bar kinda like Tim did on the Gaineys truck. It would lower that line a bit and might work to add the V brace on the windshield then?

or how about a fold down bar that could fold down onto the dash, to better protect it. like in-board police spotlights haha!

I got your resolve.
put this on it instead and become a recovery vehicle.

will the summit light bar fit on there and you can make a low profile bar to go over it and protect it.

these cop lightbars ones are 3 inches long and take 3mm lights nicely. I used one like it on my RC18 cop car.

figured out what I am going to do for the light bar, need to track down 2 or 3 of the smaller light buckets and lenses from the honcho kit first. ( I could but the light kits but I only need the small ones...) so that will need t wait a few more days.

tonight I worked on the fun part, making everything fit.

Started with a battery mount, just a simple mount I made out of a scrap piece of kydex sheet. I needed something that could hold 2,3 and 4s batteries.

with a 4s batt installed ( I have 2 and 3s packs of the same size that fit in here as well. )

packed under the hood tight

Then I moved on to trying to find a place for the winch servo, after some head scratching it looks like this will work, Ill have to route the line under the truck, probably through a tube of some sort, but its in there.

I need to finish up the mount for the winch servo, get the esc and rx in there, mount the rear winch, get the lightbar on, get the interior worked out, then its time for paint.

Oh and I need to find stiffer springs, this thing is turning into a pig!

Good idea on the servo winch placement. I had my 4s 2100 in the same spot on the Pirate 4x4. Once I put my winch in best I can fit up there is a 4s 1350.

I have to ether run it in the back or try what you did. Thanks
