For wheels/Tire, let's go 2.2, if this is what you recommend. I tried the k-44 and the shock mounts on the front axle are a bit too narrow. I've got the correct shocks inbound and reworked the skidplates. his should be a runner soon.

Thanks Sincerely. Spending time figuring things out, collecting parts, to get the build right. Wan this to look nice and perform as well.

Looks great. I have the other set of rings you first ordered.
the problem is you can't paint delrin. Wont stick because its an oil based product. I have looked into everything to do that to mine.

Glad that you got that set, they truly are a work of Art -- the 2.2 with all hose screws are quite exceptional. I forget to tell you that I did mention to John about your interest, as well.

Thanks for the heads-up regarding your attempts to paint he delrin. I probably will keep them in black, then. THANKS!

Well I may need your services soon as well. I recently came across a KOH liberty buggy that I found on the net and may need to see if you can make a hood for me. My talent isn't as good as yours obviously and would hate to scrub the build because of a hood. Unless there is a way to find a 1/10 liberty somewhere. Unfortunately the files are on my home computer. But I did ask ecoli about it. Maybe he still has the pics I sent him.

Those are just too perfect Ed, I absolutely love them. I take it John = mthead?

As for "painting" them, I know a guy locally that can anodize pretty much anything. He even has some demo products where he's anodized leather and wood. Might be worth a shot looking into it.

Sorry Norm, deleted those pics a while back. PM box fills up too much otherwise if I don't keep on top of stuff.

Be honored to be of help. Agree that fast way is to chop-up a Liberty Hood. Let's look for one. There is a guy selling at Classifieds but he selling body plus chassis (roller). if only he would do a part-out ...

these are 1.9 SCX wheels mocked-up on the 62Pyro Wreckluse.

But for this Project, will go for the 2.2 as you recommend. Most likely in Orange rather than red to match the body.

And would love to have the 2.2 beadlock rings in silver if the guy at your locality can do.

Still working on the hood. Thinking of getting the side a bit more curves. Thanks!

I have an idea and I am not sure how it will look or work.

I was at Hobby Lobby as usual looking around nad came across a product called metal flake.

Basically its a really think type of metal that comes in silver, gold, or brass color and you add a tack glue to your surface area. then you carefully lay a piece of the metal foil on the object and brush it on the surface. virtually no wrinkles and it makes an object appear as if its metal.

I know this is a time consuption thing, but I might try that. actually that might be a last resort.

The other option that may work is using an adhesion promoter to the rims and spraying them with an anodized paint. This can be purchased here in the states at NAPA.

It will give the object an appearance that its anodized in color. I am going to try this first and see what the re**** will be.

I'll do some research on the metal flakes and see if I can get it locally. Please do let me know when you get good results.

Shocks aren't scale but the suspension sure feels nice. Anyway. I manage to get a set of Scale RC4WD Shocks. The packet should be in my post box in a few days. We'll see.

Looks good Ed. Is that "Jenny" as the driver ?

So, tried to get a hold of the guy that does this chroming on all sorts of materials. Took me three phone calls before I got hold of him, then he said sure, I'll pick up the delrin on Monday from you to test. Haven't heard from him again. I might try again, seems like a nice enough guy, but if he's this unreliable I don't think I'd trust him with sending in my own rings, much less others. Sorry about that guys.
