summit front bumper on scx Hello guys im wanting to know how hard is it to mount a summit front bumper on a scx10 and how strong are the shackle mounts on it as well will they hold up to the abuse thanks guys zach |
Would be nice to know!!! I did find one post but it did not say how it was mounted! |
I have one on Barry, very easy to mount. |
How did you? |
Used a flat faced chassis brace that is supposed to be used on the rear of the chassis up front, found some 4mm button head screws, lined up the holes that are already on the Summit bumper up w/ the brace, drilled the holes, added some 10mm spacers to move the bumper forward, and tightened everything up. |
WoW.. Thanks alot! |
yeah man thanks a lot man that helps a lot |

It serves as my bumper for trails where a steep approach angle is essential. Otherwise I run my beloved Axial TR bumper. It is pretty strong for a plastic bumper. and it should hold the shackles on pretty well(haven't had to use them yet). http://i86.photobucket.com/albums/k8...4/newbump2.jpg |
