| jeeper_05's Vuckin Yota build...Now Hotwheels000's Vuckin Yota!
I have always been a fan of the old Dodge A-100s, and Unimogs, but all I had laying around for a hardbody was a Yota. So my imagination got stirring, and I came up with this. This will be a slow and lengthy build thread, because I plan to do more detail than I ever have. First, thanks to my sponsors RPP Hobby Holmes Hobbies Crawler InNovations RC4WD and good friends Vanquish Products Cheap Battery Packs RC BROS Goal, somewhat, it will have a sloped hood, not this steep... Specs... Electronics Holmes Torquemaster BR-XL waterproof ESC Holmes Torquemaster Handwound in the 20T flavor Cheap Battery Packs Elite 2200 3S JR8711 for the steering Mini Hitec 225? for the dig Drivetrain Axial axles, loaded with Vanquish Zero Ackerman Hi Steer Knuckles Vanquish Rear Lockouts Axial Aluminum C's Axial HD Gears S3R Chromoly Lockers RC4WD XVD's Axial Tranny with Vanquish Dig, and VP housing Chassis SCX-10 chassis with... Vanquish Shock Hoops Hand Bros CMS Honcho Links (LWB) Axial Aluminum SCX Shocks Wheels are on order Vanquish SSZ-11 1.9's (I will machine the lip for some bling) Nova 1.9 Dual Stage Foams Undecided on tires, either RC4WD RokLox, or Proline TSL's My brakes I eventually want to try my hand at a transfer case setup with the vanquish dig bolted to it laying down. This will be my next step.... What I have so far... My brakes that will be sammiched in between the VP hubs and the VP wheels...I want to do brake lines, exhaust, the whole works Start of the hood... Fenders Chopped... Cab Chopped... Bed Bobbed... Extra bed pieces from over the years bob jobs...I'll need these to make the bed longer... There will be TONS more chopping going on, I will do my best to update as much as possible! Last edited by jeeper_05; 06-23-2011 at 01:45 PM. |

Awesome already. I hope you work on it all night and I get to see it with the front wheel wells on it in the morning at least. |

I just had a thought. Well.... a memory. My dad drew me a picture when I was a kid of a Ford Econoline Truck like this : Only it had a mid engine in the bed. Wouldnt be hard to hollow out a 1/10 scale model Hemi and cover the trans and dig in a drop bed. |

sence your were putting the disc brakes in for more of a real scaler look, it would be pretty cool if you could put the actual working disc brake kit in that integy offers, be cool to see a crawler with working discbrakes that would rlly give it a true scale feel. |

Got some work done while I was at lunch today, gotta slope the hood more to match up with the grill... Also figured out a lower servo mount for the dig, just flip and add spacers! Driveshafts clear great! Gonna drill the linkage mount lower on the servo horn, and the hurst shifter, shouldn't be much of a tranny hump, haha TRANNY HUMP wow ... |
