Default Synergy JK - VS-410.3 w/VFD

well... the Toyota body finally let go, so it was time for a rebuild.

decided to build a replica of the Poly Performance 2 door JK. a couple pics for those not familiar with the rig:

(Dave is shirtless, as usual)

the plan was to build something quick and simple, but as we all know that never happens. below is a list of the current specs:

-SCX10 chassis w/ Hands Bros 3-link mount
-custom bumpers and rockers by Robbob
-SSD D60 axle housings
-Axial XR shafts
-VP AR60 knuckles/Cs and SCX10 lockouts
-MIP driveshafts
-Powerstroke shocks
-Tekin FXR and 35T
-Hitec 645 steering servo
-Spektrum DX3E
-alum. shock towers
-Proline 2dr JK body w/ Dingo cage
-CarterFab rear quaters
-Pitbull Rock Beast XL
-Fanquish 8-hole beadlocks

really not sure where this build is going to go. definitely want to replicate the bumpers and rocker guards, just need to find someone with better skills than me willing to do it (hint hint). been tossing around the idea of cutting the top off and doing it up big too. we'll see though...

anyways, enough of my blabbing. onto some pics:

thanks for looking. i'll try and get some outdoors pics soon.

Great looking rig!
Agreed, the 2faces look like the real deal like the Polyperformance.

Now onto cutting the doors and adding the roll bars! (kidding) Would need lots of styrene work.
Could even throw in the kinked rear quarter! LOL

progress so far:

more to come... can't wait to see the end result

i was only able to take it out once before i sent it out to CT, but the Two Faces actually work pretty well. definitely need to do a little more testing though... i'll be sure to report back when i do.

This is an awesome build!! Great job on those bumpers and especially the tire carrier! You need to post this on their Facebook page when you get it completed. The guys over there are all cool, and I'm sure they could appreciate it!

thanks man. Bob deserves all the credit for the bumpers and rockers though.

the guys at Poly are pretty cool, yeah. i actually used to work there, and am still good friends with everyone. they've seen the pictures, and the Jeep will likely end up on their website when it is done.

Judging from pictures seen on their Facebook page...it looks like a fun place to work! Bob..He did an awesome job on those bumpers..especially that carrier. You give me inspiration to build my SCX10 to mirror my 1:1(Jeep JK); although I think I'm gonna do a Jeep Comanche build first. Keep up the good work!
