That looks awesome with the new tires, I'm really liking the look of them. The whole truck is badass too.

Axial sent the wheels with tires. Why not ? I did get try them out some out at Eddie's place this past weekend and they worked well!

Thanks. I love them. Wish they little taller, but the extra grip and softness makes up for them.

I didn't even know you could get the Axial 1.9 locks in chrome?

I guess it looks ok.

Now for the sad part... I went to my first G6 comp and DNF'd. I got thur the first couple of gate's, then noticed my driverside tire was not spinning. I took the portal apart, the gears look fine no broken pin's. Then I noticed this..

It top gear's bearing. The small gear somehow popped off the pin and pin hollowed the bearing.

I'm not giving up on the portals yet.

My fix will be to order 4x7x2.5 flanged bearings and 4x8x.002mm shims.

But overall I did have blast! From the start line.

Small update. I did fix the bearing and I also ordered shims from mcmaster. I used 3 shims on the top portal gears to shim the gear into the pin.

In prep for our upcoming night comp. I order light kit from Chaotic Crawlers. I been wanting to add lights for long time.

Finally got new hex's. I had been running Traxxas plastic wide hex's. But always end up stripping them out. Next I tired some Mrc wide aluminum hexes, but they weren't wide enough. Last I got J-fab 8mm wide aluminum hex's, they fit perfect. I had to drill them out for the Traxxas stub and file the first step down.

Traxxas hex on the left, J-fab hex middle,Losi mrc wide hex right.

Update time. With our season open in 2 weeks I wanted to get ready for it.

I ordered highlandcrawler's pinned outputs. They super nice and highly recommend them.

I really liked my axial wheels but stripped out the hexes. Thanks to MR.VERTICAL SLW hub mod. I'm running 225 hubs and normal hexes again. Very cool mod in my book!

I'm also trying out 4s lipos now. We'll see if the portals will hold up.

So had small GTG Friday evening and also being my B-day. I wanted to try out wheel mod and 4s lipo. It ran awesome and no problems at all. I only got to take few pics.

I really like the reflection off the water.

I did score pair of proline shocks for the front.
