You maked/buyed a behind the axle steering. You shaved a bit of the axle hous in the middle of on the bottom side. And... euhm, that's it |

Looks like you shaved the bottom of the axles cases.

I know been slacking on the updates, I moved and clean up the garage and get my work bench setup. I need to get this ready for ECC and maybe a local comp. I been needing to get bunch of misc. little mods done. I painted up a new cab. I wanted to do color out the norm for me. I need to reforce the back of the cab, install side mirrors and get it stickered up. While back I ordered up Holmes hobbies team torquemaster 25t with 6* timing. Hoping the foam filter will help keep the crap out. Also updated the to latest firmeware on BR-XL. I wanted more steering, I drilled and tapped the arms for zero ackerman. I also went back to normal steering links. I also remade my own panhard link. Need to clean them up and get them painted. Last edited by eric113; 04-11-2012 at 07:20 PM. |

For shaving the axles, did you cut the bottom off completely and glue a thing of styrene on or what?

How does it look on the inside with the pinion on it? I don't know if it's the pic or not but the milled one doesnt have that doohickey on it in the axle does it? Because then ya that very little but if the thing is off, seems like you still have a good amount still, should be fine then Edit: actually have you thought of lengthening the pinion shaft to put the pinion closer? Like shave the top of the pinion so that the stronger base of the pinion is meshed with the smaller ring gear? Last edited by demonoid369; 04-13-2012 at 10:31 PM. |

I'm not following on the doohickey part. I did run it around the yard today full blast and never skipped a beat and sounded great the whole time. | |
