Going by the pic I will say a new body in the works. At least I hope so cause to much work went into this truck to part with it. Well IMO.

For which shocks front or rear ?

Front's are stock scx springs

Rear is yeah racing springs. I think they are for touring car shocks I had.

I ran the Taco for few years. Time to build something else. Hoyt is correct I got new body set for it. I will be starting a build thread soon.

I contacted Dave @ DH fab after seeing a custom flatbed for honcho for sale. I knew had to have one.

Once I got the frame and bed and sliders from Dave I got it into roller.

Showing how I mounted the rear shocks.

You may have mentioned this already but did you have to shorten the rear-end of the chassis to get the flatbed to look right?

When the rear frame is mounted to the cab, can you lift it to get a battery in and out?

You have to pull the cab to get to the battery.

Pull the front body clips. Pull the cab forward off the screws from the bed. The screws have a nut.

The vendor that made the flatbed is no long vendor or making them.

Rc4wd makes a copy of this flatbed.

Annddd the taco back. I been working on the taco off and on getting ready for AZ scale comp in April.

It most done, I do have few things left to do.
  • Paint and install JC autocad chassis
Figure out rear bed mount to chassis
    Install dinky interior
    Rebuild front axle
    Make electronics plate/winch plate

Installed Dinky cantilever kit, I had to install it to outside of the chassis because the longer wb.

Body I painted few years ago and never ran.

I ordered maddogrc scx10 plates to redo the sliders. I finally tig weld the new plates on.

Need to paint and install new chassis rails.
