i started this build last january... bought komodo axles from ckrc... then ordered the chassis for the komodo... ordered rc4wd 90 mm dual shocks got the bruiser shakle and leaf spring mounts(i dont use) mini rock crawler lower links, axial uppers, rc4wd r2 disconect tranny, and a two speed r2 tranny for later.. mip drive shafts... stainless skid plate, all stailess steel tube for the bumpers and 1/8 inch tube for the roof rack, i cut a section out of the tires(2.2 flat irons) to give a more scale look.. im suprised they atill are tighly sealed still after much abuse... the wheel hubs are held on with a tiny weak metal bracket, that broke consecutively with each outing, i fabed up some 1/8 inch stainless replacements and now they are pretty unstopable!!! the stub axles are really weak aswell and i fit and old hpi rs4 stub in its place... making buying them super easy cause its local... 3 link pan hard front stainless, 4 link rear. brushless goat with 10 tooth pinion 3300 lipo sadle pack, spectrum dx3s rc4wd light system novak bec hobbytime hightorque steering servo |
