Default project "Ultimate Rock Bug"

This project started from December of 2009, is incompleted still yet and needs very long time.
I was inspired from my friend thinners's Rock Bug.
His rig is killer build and has 4 wheels steering, updown winch, elaborate doll and beautiful frame works.

His thread & movie.

The real Rock Bug is the greatest rock buggy.
My target is bulding a faithful model as possible.

Tracy Jordan's Rock Bug.

My incomplete rig.

At first, I designed an axle "mini Spider 9".
I did not want to use RC4WD's axle because its diff case and axle tube are a little bit big and can't be brazed several mounts.

Designing "mini spider 9" axle.
This axle is just 1/8 scale size and made from Stainless steel.

Diff cases were ordered to my friend factory.
These costs were not cheap.

Trial assembly.
Big one is my 1/6 size spider 9 axle for big rock buggy.

C hab is original and steering knuckle is AX10's high mount steering knuckle.

It's smaller than AX10's axle and good shape.

What internals do you use in your axle?

Thank you guys.
This axle was incompleted still yet because there was no link mount and skid plate.
Building and assembly was very hard needed long time.

Yes. Introduction of rear steer will be later.

I don't think sell and recommend.
Its cost is too high because it isn't mass production.
