Sort of a moot point since you don't plan to comp, but I was thinking that it doesn't fit in class 3 because it looks like your chassis is too small for the dimensions for the class.

It looks like your chassis is shorter than your wheelbase, the tire carrier isn't included in the measurement of the chassis length, and is removable.
Also, it's hard to tell from a pic, but what is the height from the bottom of the skid to the highest point of the frame, not including the light bar? It doesn't look like 5", but that's just a guess.
Also it looks like the width might be a little narrow too (measurement at the front of the "door panel" and the rear of the "door panel")
And, lastly, you would need to find a way to hide the transmission (and anything you throw in there) since it's an "open cab"

As you said though, this is not intended to be a Scale Comp capable rig, and honestly doesn't matter. It looks cool, and was done with parts you had lying around.

I love that you did the rear tire carrier removable, was that just collets brazed to the frame?

Yea, I'm not really interested in competing but I do want to put in a full interior, I just need to get my hands on a r2 so i can eliminate the spur.

Yes the tire carrier is held on by 4 collars that are just brazed to the chassis is actually really sturdy too. Also the light bar is removable its just not finished.

Thanks for everyone who took the time to look at my pictures "thumbsup" Today I'll be finishing up a few loose ends on this, still have to get it ready for the coaters and I need to figure out how to get all the stickers. If anyone has an idea please let me know.

Hey guys here is a little update, I got the steering done and its a bit complex and out of the box, but that just makes it that much more fun.I used a couple of ideas I've had in my head for the last couple of builds, but this one just fit better. Its hard to explain so I hope the pictures can do a better job.

Here is the front view to get an idea of how it works.

That steering setup looks awesome. Are there any issues with it? It's hard to tell but that looks like a smaller servo running it. I know it's not a comp rig but you would get points for frame mounting the servo.
