Hey guys, ![]() Thought i'd drop in a picture of my current scale build. Body is from a truck from the bay, TLT axels and a lot of fiddling and building, Still have the wheels to die, ESC and reciever to fit, a few scale bits and pieces to tack on and a few tool boxes to cover the gear box. Fairly happy with the flex so far, will work on it once it is finished. Feedback kindly appreciated. Thanks guys.

Does the suspension move at those angles on its own? Hows the steering?

Those driveline angles are definitely scary. Maybe you should ditch the tires and go with some Masher 2K's and lower it about a 1/2". I think it would look a little better. You could also drop the transmission and link mounts.

Hey Guys, Thanks for the concern on the drive shaft angles, They all seem to work fine I have angled the diffs a little to help stop the binding, will try to get a flex shot when it's done. It is based on a 1:1 Australian troop carrier and support truck, similar to the merc Unimog, I need the bigger tyres to help it look the same, A little higher than the original but i like to have the center clearance. cheers

Your center clearance is gone anyway; the fenders and steps hang down to the tops of the tires. If you lower the tranny you'll have a lot smoother running without losing any clearance and have a lot more functional truck. Not only will your driveshafts not bind up (and you'll be able to fix that caster angle) but you'll lower your center of gravity by a good inch, and you'll have a place to hang the links so they're not vertical. I know it sucks having to rebuild your whole truck; I've done it myself many times. This truck as it is now reminds me of a gal I used to date. Nice to look at, but I wouldn't want to spend too much time with her. Drop the tranny about an inch and a half and you'll be in much better shape.
