Default Red Bull Truggy

A few of you here know this truck, another builder built the frame and Truggy originally and I reworked a bunch of it mid season last year.

It was getting pretty beat from a hard years worth of work. Keechelus, King of the Skook and numerous test sessions. Alright just beating on it who am I kidding I don't test...Plus MSD is coming. I had another build I started but hotwheels had to have it more than I needed it and I have a soft spot for Mog's. So we struck a deal, he got the Brute, I got a Mog and the RB Truggy gets a whole lotta lovin....

So far I have torn down the RB to a pile o parts and got a new SCX frame set and started bending and brazing. This really will be a new build by the time I am done. The cab is about the only holdover from the old chassis. All the tube and frame is going to be new. A little bit of the geometry and WB will change also.

Main hoop in and looking at rear cage lines....

Couldn't sleep so out came the bender and torch last night

Did I tell you how many bends there are in the back of a Tundra cab?

I still need to cut off all the frame and tie in the rest of the tube work. Works good for mock up to leave it all on and suspension hung for now though.

French Thanks
Eric sorry just saw this reply I'll post some up, the easy explanation is I took some of the tube and flattened it. then brazed it to my slider. Place the body over with alignment marks. When you drill the hole in the body hit the brazed tab. Then take off the body, final drill and tap for the mounting screws.

Updates....

It's a true Truggy now. Badd would be happy....

Hmm headlight ideas to make room for the tires.

And Tube Fenders

Eyebrow bar and new grille shape.

I still have a little tie in work and final braze on the front but almost time to start working on the interior.

Got some lights on this and took it out for a test drive over the weekend with the wife.
Needs a little tuning but the update took care of the few complaints I had before.

I built a Honcho for my wife to have some fun with too. She's not big on the comp side but a day of fun runs and she's in. We had a little fun with her truck....Aptly named the Purple Pile of Hotness.....

Sorry for the lack of updates. Got the truck running and it drove good at the comp this weekend. Some little changes but I think this is mostly ready to start detailing it out for Montana.

I got the lightbar from Chino. Not sure if he is going to produce these on a regular basis.

So when I took the tranny out I found this...

All the screws were loose and the lower gear had separated and was machining the case. It will be changed over to a Robinson for MSD and when the dig goes in my C3 Jeep.

The Chino lightbar

Runs straight off 11v so no messing around with resistors etc.

I also picked this up since last comp and best radio I have had. It was a good replacement for both my DX3R and previous Futaba 3PK

Only had 28mins on it when I got it from the previous owner...

And then I got busy with a reception and 2 C3 builds... Should have an interior if I can get a little time tonight. Waiting for the light boards from KCJones. My team3six console panels came in earlier this week
