Yea, time will tell how they last. Well that time will start once I get off my *** and finish it. But for sitting there the axles are performing outstanding. Time will tell how they hold up though. Leach |

I just got it at walmart in the toy aisle. It was 30 bucks, but I saw a post somewhere and he said he got one for 17 on sale or something. If I can find the box I'll try to get some kind of product number off of it. Leach |

Got a couple more tubes added. Mocked up the lower control arms to check where I want to start my subframe for them. The more tubes I add the more it is looking like the rig I posted. Should have some time tomorrow to finish the rest of the tubing and maybe some of the link/shock mounts, although the TLT shocks are a little too long for me right now/sits a little tall. Does anyone know of other shocks that are narrow like the TLT's but not have as much travel? All the car/buggy ones are short but fat as hell. Well do yall think its coming out looking like the rig Im building it after? And thanks for looking. Leach Real Rig: |

The VMG shocks are a little too small, I'm probably going to end up keeping the TLTs, as soon as I finish this thing I am starting on several other builds, and I have very limited time to work on them, so finish one start another. And yea that phone is actually holding up really well. Its had a couple misfortunes but for being my 10th phone its lasted the longest out of the others. And execisefire, keep up the work on your builds, I havent gotten past a chassis and rear suspension on mine (thinking of going nitro) too many other projects. Leach |

Got bored of the project, added a couple tubes and painted it to see how its gonna come out. Paint sucks, wont stick to tubes at all. Im gonna strip if off and redo it at some point, but think I might just finish it so I can move onto a NIP FJ40 tuber that Imma cut up. Let me know what ya think, good or bad, not many comments in here on the fab...****ty/good? Leach Real Rig again Couple of mine |

Yea the tires are some toy from Target, just cut out every other lug and actually cut down into the tire carcass to allow it to flex a little better. They are stiff as all get out normally. Skidoosomethingorother, nah its not my rig but a fellow North Carolinian's. The chassis design he used is based off the Twisted Customs, LLC. chassis and his friend built it for him using those main design points. Specs on the real rig if interested: LS1 with tuned computer, think he said pushing over 410hp. Atlas tcase Dana 60 front 9in with Tru-Hi9 3rd member. Airshox, 14s or 16s 39.5 red label Krawlers. Not sure how much farther I am going to go with it, I have some more interesting projects coming up soon. Stephen Leach Last edited by 93yjpiece; 06-28-2006 at 07:12 AM. |

And thanks for the comments, some tubes arent fully brazed/welded on (depending on area/my mood for a good joint). But it will be done sooner or later. Will be running sooner, updates soon hopefully. Just curious on what should start next...Nikko Hilux body built after Peterson's 4WOR Clampy or a FJ-40 tube trail rig. Both are gonna happen just cant decide which one first... I had to look twice to make sure that was a small one. At first I thought you were cutting up a 1/6 Nylint. The fact that you're doing all this quality tube work in 1/18 is incredible Very impressive |
