So I finally got this one out a bit and can honestly say I am super happy with how it performs. Hopefully the weather cooperates a bit and I can get it out again soon.

Wheel speed was more than adequate, so I dropped it from 10/56 to 9/60 this morning. Using the LockedUp slipper eliminator and the axial wild boar shafts I have enough room to not worry about an extended outdrive.

Rc4wd delrin spur and RRP steel pinion.

Also got around to making and installing the rear window.

Also toying around with the idea of making this a tiny tire truck..

Or maybe I just got an idea for that scx2 that's on the way....

So I knew I was on borrowed time with those shafts

Threw in a set of junfac shafts I have here, replaced the pins with music wire and got it all back together.

Also decided to put some detail in that grille.

I may have missed it, but any reason you didn't go with a clod body? Great looking build!

Oh, Didn't know that! I'm working on my own clod as my first scratch build, and I knew I wanted a Chevy so figured a clod was the way to go.

I like the look with the smaller tires, but it still looks great with the bigger set.

Plus when i originally started this build I had just had my you know what handed to me at a comp. I wanted to build a nice blend between looking scale while still being able to keep up with ultra lightweight rigs. A hardbody would have made that goal harder.

Well that makes sense. Looks great and I was simply curious!

Any plans to move the motor forward?

Not on this truck.. Info have a rc4wd blazer body I'm planning on doing something a little more scale with.

Great build! What paint did you use to paint the body? I am trying to figure out what paint to use on a custom body with both lexan and styrene. Thanks

The more I wheel this thing the more I love it. Was surprisingly good all day the other day when me and a buddy took our rigs out to play.

I'd love to see some more footage of the little green truck.

This truck influenced me to order 2 bodies and a printed grill. Im sure mine wont turn out as good as yours but I cant expect it to. How and what did you use to bond the plastic once you cut?
