Default Scale? clod bodied basher

Well, I decided to do a different build with my clod body. I already cut the body for bigger tires so I am looking for another body if anybody has one. It has tlt axles, 1.9 tires(also run mashers for a real old school monster truck look). Stampede trans, 20 turn stinger motor, hitec 645mg servo(front only), dynamite esc w/reverse. I am running Front stampede shocks with stock springs, I ordered softer losi springs, so they should be here any time. I made the chassis as kind of a test before making the real chassis but this is way to fun to take apart so I guess I will have to build another truck. Here are a few pictures. Thanks for looking,Brian

Default Pictures

Here are the pics. w/the mashers. I sould have raised the body about two holes on the post but these were poser's anyway. I run these tires when I go on the rocks, I figure with the 20 turn motor and the way me and my son drive it, we will break it with the mashers on it. Also some pics. of the chassis. Let me know what ya think,Brian

Looks very scale, great job.

Are those tires from a Tamiya XC model, aren't they?

Default Tires and Wheels

The tires and wheels came from a Tamiya S10. It was about the only good thing left on the S10. I finished the skid plate last night and put some lights in it(headlights only for now) Glad you guys like it, that makes it all the better, brian

Default Here is why the body was trimmed

I first built the truck with a modified stock tlt chassis with a laydown stampede trans. It was a cool truck but to allow for flex and have thew body kinda low I had to cut it. I wish I never cut it for the latest build but I figure I will get another body sometime. Brian

Nice! I really like the look of the Clod body and the 1.9 wheels. What's the speed and torque like with the Stinger? How about run-time?

Not too shabby on editing that pic, Double J.

Default peed and torque

Mad Scientist, Speed is pretty good, I am running a 17t pinion and 87t spur. I don't know what the tlt axles are geared to. Torque is alright, it's not like a 55t lathe motor but it is perfect for just all around bashing. The only thing is that you have to be careful when on pavement becase when you turn at anything more then 1/2 throttle sometimes it will flip over, I guess that is kinda scale to the way it drives. It spins the BFG's like crazy and with the mashers it pulls the front wheels about 2" off the ground when you take off from a dead stop. Runtime is about 25-30 minutes with a 3300mah battery. That is running hard and almost full throttle the whole time on loose dirt. Thanks for the compliment,Brian
