Looks amazing! How will you seal the electronics boxes without those screw posts? Plan on making them watertight? Love the bike frames!

As a former racer...I can surely appreciate your frame build! Very nice! Mountain bikes were my first love. I really appreciate the cross between the scale world and real world fabrication.

I'm with Bulldog! I was part owner of Sinister bikes for years and now for GE Aviation (I build the IR Cloaking exhausts on the Blackhawk )

Love the Haro Master-esque twin top tubes

And Mongo is just plain sexy

Beautiful

How many frames have you built?

free time has been scarce lately, finally managed to get back to it last night.

this is my waterproof Rx box. main box is delrin, lid is clear polycarbonate ( Rx LED status light can be read & water can easily be seen should a breach occur w/box closed), sealed with an oring and zinc chromate tape.

with the top sealed with the oring (making the lid easily removable), the wire port will be over stuffed with the chromate tape (more permanent sealing method than the oring) and then the aluminum plate screwed into place thus forcing the tape to fill the gaps. will test it to failure later on inside a pressure chamber to see how much psi it can withstand.

box mounts front of the rear bumper: far away from the motor and ESC

bottom view

next is to do a larger box for the ESC

Might get a little hot in that box, don't you think?

Hopefully with my low rpm driving habits it doesnt get too hot - but if it does I'm prepared to pull off the stock heatsink and machine/attach a bigger heatsink that doubles as the box lid. That way the heat is dissipated to the exterior of the box.
