its not 100% yet but its time to step back from the cab and figure out how to mount it onto the cage work - finally back to brazing! |

you could make tabs on the back of the cab maybe. so it slides up in a bolts right to it. i mean it is the back of the cab. easier to hide. btw, nice builds(s) the rig and bike are awesome. |

Looks like on the 1:1 they just welded some angle iron to the cage and bolted the cab to them. You could braze some gussets and bolt the cab to them. But I'm sure you're got some ideas already, that's the fun part in making things from scratch. |

This is by far some of the best work I have ever seen! It's like art but so much better! Your brazing is freaking amazing!

Thanks all for your input and kind words. Some news: I've recently accepted a job that has turned my daily commute from less than 5 miles to over 220 miles on the daily so time is a scarcer commodity now when it comes to this hobby - never the less I am even more determined to accelerate progress on this build. Though there might be less correspondence/dialogue I will continue to post images as soon as they become available. So finally back to brazing - a welcome break from machining and plastic work Basically all the machining and styrene work has allowed me to sit back and digest what I felt is needed/missing on the tube work in regards to strength. So in addition to some mounting tabs for the styrene cab, more tubing has been added to address some weak areas. Many of the new tubes are a complete departure from the movie truck - hopefully these changes do not offend the purists out there Buffalo skull: |

WOW. That is one stunning build. Out of curiosity what did you use to make mesh on the front lower panels?
