Im flattered, but truthfully I haven't done anything new. I'm simply applying ideas that many others have already done in the past & in other hobbies. So I'm no hero - Chuck Norris is a hero

Air tank. 1.25" tube and 1"bar

Turned and coated with thread locker

Pressed

Parted then steps above repeated for other side of tube

Rough cut

More turning to come and brackets, but this is the location - mainly to hide the deans connector to the battery.

This build continues to raise the bar, and to inspire.

Really like that you're using all kinds of materials, to build the Mongo.

Thanks guys!

Machined some bridging ladders out of .5inch plastic. Mongo is massive/heavy looking so the ladder was designed to look equally heavy duty - mimicking a square tube construction.

Bed mounted.

Nice bird's eye view.

Mongo says, "ladders are good, me climb".

Wow. That baby looks like a blast to drive, it didn't seem like the wheelbase or cg slowed you down one bit! Absolutely amazing work, and just downright breathtaking detail. Thanks for all the updates!

Thanks & welcome! The size definitely makes it super fun to drive simply because its so massive. A totally different perspective on even the most mundane obstacle. Taking it out on its first real run also showed many shortcomings. Amongst the list: the hydro steer - mineral oil seemed to break down in the heat so I'll have to experiment with a different hydraulic fluid, the baja claws just SUCK (as expected): love the looks and the dimensions but they just don't perform due to the rubber durometer.
