Default My Truggy

I got this off of the forums here and I wanted to start a thread to document its progress. I have had it a week so far and like it but needs to be cleaned up a little bit.

It came with:

TLT axles
derlin links
bolt-on custom bed
winch
CC Sidewinder
helix body
Chassis mount servo

I have added so far
DNA Assassin wheels
Proline Flatiron tires
CC BEC
Wiring cleaned up
RC4WD remote/receiver
Working cheap servo
Woriking lipos

I got a set of Axial axles I'm building for it but I got some stuff to order still before they go on.

Some pics:

Been doing some work on this rig and figured I'd do some updating:

Switched to Axial axles. Mods are:

Cvd's
HD lockers
HR knuckles and c hubs
Axial aluminum rear straight lockers
r2j 4 links mounts front and rear.

Also Came with R2 tranny. Was missing dust cover and had a home made skid plate attached. I got the dust cover in today and switch to a RPP R2 skid plate.

Tore it down to just frame rails:

Sand blast time!!

It had a broken weld so it was time for me to bust out the torch (I love fire! ).

Weld is all fixed up and I got my fire fix for the day as well.

Got it primed and ready for base coat.

I still got a lot to do. The body is getting stripped and repainted also. I got a 7955 servo and a Holmes Hobby 35t hand-wound (both new) that I'm gonna drop in the rig. I am also switching to metal links and Integy piggyback shocks.

More pics to come as soon as I make more progress.

Thanks for looking
James

I got the bed and bumper painted and mounted:

Decided to make my own links this time. I used 1/4" brake line, 10/24" all thread, and Revo rod ends. I drilled and tapped the rod ends. I also sandblasted the brake line.

I hope to have it as a roller in the next few days. I might have to adjust the length of my links before it is all said and done. Sorry for the crappy pics. The lighting is horrible in my house.

Thanks for looking
