| pulling truck build questions
I've been out of the RC thing for a while and I have been building my 1.1 cummins and duramax as well as my buddies ppump 24v pulling truck. I have a wild hair to build an RC pulling truck and was wondering what everyones opinions on base truck would be? I want to run a dodge body and am looking to go low instead jacking it up. Ill be cutting a lot of the wheel wells out to slam it in the front. Sorry if i posted in the wrong section.

i prefer to use a stock tamiya f350/tundra/hilux. just stiffen the rear (i lock the rear shocks by filling them with a very heavy grease) use the stock tires but instead of running foam i fill the rear tires with bb's for stiffness and weight. or build it custom...heres a pic of my super low chevy puller. tlt front axle semi rear axle solid mounted both axles to the top side of an f350 chassis |

i think im gonna buy an scx10 frame off ebay, run some axial, losi, or maybe even rc4wd t60 axles for a sweet scale look.

trex 60 axles will self distruct before u hit 300ft!!! they are a great looking axle, i have 2 rigs with them but they arent for performance. the gears strip real easy. better off with an axial axle or built tlt. goodluck!

axial axles are to wide in my opinion they dont look scale enough. dont run losi axles cause you need the gears to give, losi axles are worm drive and t60 wont hold up. so i suggest you build tlt's with hardened gears and cvds |
