| EddieV's 4Runner build
Back in 09 Bob started this thread: Vedder's 4Runner I am starting a new one as the truck is starting a new chapter...its going to get FINISHED. A LONG time ago, I negotiated building this 4Runner in partial trade for Bob's Isuzu PU built by looneybin. Well, things got crazy, career change, and a minor set back on the roof of the body so it sat for some time. Things have settled down and I am back in the spirit of building. I snapped a few pics of it and I dropped the Bruiser interior into purple power to strip the paint off. I am going to try and start on the interior this weekend, if it strips tonight. I also got my order of Harris safety silv 56 and flux and have a bunch of brake line so I am going to start bending up the rear factory roll bar as well as some Marlin Crawler armor and TG shock hoops for it. Specs: Hilux body gone 4Runner by Off The Grid OG Bruiser chassis Chino Skid Chino Leafs Rummafied Brusier axles Custom rear upper shock mount My OG wheels/tires from my clone CTC front hubs Kyosho 4runner rear hubs RC4WD Ultimate yota axle U bolt flip (Yup they work!) Onto some pics! Sun faded roof...It get some "appropriate" east coast 4Runner rust O yeah...did I mention it will have 100% replica 4Runner emblems?? Yeah kinda like these Interior coming soon! |

I was gonna ask about those Iroc's aswell, I've been debating on trying to put together a hardbodied drag car lately. Any idea if anyone has another one of these one off Yota's kicking around, my mechanic wants to get into rc crawling but wants to build a rep of his truck.

So sick! Watching this build closely! I just got a bigbird runner body and although its nowhere near as accurate as nOObs it will be a fun project nonetheless.

Great work as usual Chris. The emblems are awesome. One question, why so many Yotas and the name "OneBadJeepBruiser"? it's always puzzled me.

As for the name, back in the day I use to use "IHaveBruiser" on rcmt and such sites, then when I came here I thought the coolest badest ass rig I had was my Jeep Bruiser Kinda gives ya an idea of just how far scale has come in the last 5 years...back then, that jeep was considering to be one of the baddest ass rigs around...Now a days people would be like why does it have Toyota axles and please lower the body, k thanx bye! More on EddieVs runner soon, I had to go car shopping with my mother this weekend so I didnt get chance to work on anything...at least she ended up with a 09 Impreza GT hatch back | |
