| TA02 rebuild
I'm rebuilding the chassis to compete in the scale comp. It's got soft springs allready. They are AE brown buggy springs. Both diffs are locked also. I'm fixing broken drive shafts and missmatched hardware. New rims and tires. Also got a O.J. bronco body for it.

I think it's the TC setup not 100% shure though. Why do you need longer arms? Cleaned it up, mounted tires, fixed what I could. Still need longer body mounts and need some more srews. Also need to paint the body. |

I'm also modifying a TA02 Hummer for Crawlin. I've learned a few tricks to help give it more underbody clearence. For the rear, use longer shocks as the suspension isn't drooped all the way as it is. You can get another half inch of height in the rear by using longer shocks. The front is a real pain, but you can do some grinding on the nuckels to let the suspension droop more too, and you can also grind down the points where the front suspension setup attaches to the chassis. All that does help, and I recomend it. |

well i looked on ebay..and i struck gold! well for me that is lol i found a COMPLETE rear suspension (upper and lower susp. arms, shocks, hub carriers, and some screws, shower tower and even body mounts) all for about 25 bucks! i`ve been looking for this forever and i just found my rear dogbones too...so now its time to search for some good tires...i`ve been seeing people run i guess TLT tires and rims? would that be kinda big for the ta-02? i kinda wanna get this truck up in the air some lol Last edited by ToTheMAXXcrawler; 06-08-2006 at 04:28 PM. |

Thanks for the encouragement guys. I would have painted it tonight, but the hobby shop closed before I could get there. Sorry no OJ did it paint. It's going to be blue and tan. Just like the one my neighbor had. Last edited by Cole82; 06-08-2006 at 06:23 PM. |

actually after seeing the original f-150 body...i say make it look like that...i mean cut the front and rear bumpers off....and if you can..make like a stinger front bumper like on some old school baja trucks...that would look pretty bad *** IMO. what wheels are those anyways? they look pretty nice.

They are AE NTC3 8 spoke chrome wheels. All for for $10 is a great deal. http://www.teamassociated.com/enlarge/2408.htm The rear is going to get a bumper with tire carrier. Since the body only came with a rollpan out back. The front I'm going to wait and see how it looks first. |
