ive got an xr10 MOA in the works so i figured id start my first scaler build. my mini doesnt need to go to waste after all! as a kid i ALWAYS wanted a specific tyco vehicle when they came out. childrens advertising hype worked. it looked awesome on tv and i HAD to have one. never did though. recently here in minot ND there was an epic flood and lots of things went to the trash can, including the vehicle i spoke of earlier. it wasnt a runner nor would that interest me anymore having far surpassed the toy stage of the rc world. the body though, is classic. its not mounted yet and im not sure how im going to go about it. it may get a dove tail. it may just get a body lift to clear the tires. all i know is this is a MUST DO on my list. |

thanks guys, im really torn on how to go about this. it would be my first scaler. im seeing that the wheels and tires would have to be swapped out for something more reaslistic. i LOVE super swampers. As for the body, ive found a height that clears the tires under flex but its WAY JACKED UP... i love the look of doved stuff with bobbed beds but this body imo is just way too rare to hack up with out experience. is this too tall? there is a half-3/4 inch gap between the top of the chassis and where the bottom of the body begins |

that body is to small for 1.9 or even 1.5!! You need to put a set of micro axles under it. |

im sooo torn about what to do with it. ive always loved this body, and im not sure if i want to cut it up. maybe ill just look into some micro axles from rc4wd and build it up when i have the loot. itll probably end up with a huge motor on itty bitty tires... |

I'm not one to tell anyone what to do with their stuff, BUT please do not chop this body up without first trying to put some smaller axles under it. It would be shame and might make some of us hawaiian's cry. Hahahaha. My 1.55 TSL's would look killer under there. -B |

I would look into a Mini Qlo, its smaller than a mini losi and bigger than a micro. maybe that would work.

im not afraid to make long links and motor mounts. ive been thinking about a motor under the hood with a transfer case 4 linked onto 1.5 wheels. the flood was crappy but nice enough to give me a couple other bodies slightly larger than this one. i WILL build this before too long though. |
