Re: RCP Wreckluse I have a distinct memory of this truck in Tucson! Looks great! |
Re: RCP Wreckluse I was thinking about purchasing one of these myself for a little project. I was wondering if they came with directions for setting everything up? |
Re: RCP Wreckluse I'll post some picks with the panels off so you can see some more details |
Re: RCP Wreckluse I will be looking forward to that. |
Re: RCP Wreckluse here's a couple shots without the hood I placed the ESC and Receiver in the back of the dashboard (keep them up out of the water...I'll balloon them later) I place the battery on the lexan behind the shocks (I can change it from the wheel well) the suspension compresses down to 1" of clearance She's running great...I plan on adding a servo winch http://www3.picturepush.com/photo/a/...e/IMG-7127.jpg http://www5.picturepush.com/photo/a/...e/IMG-7131.jpg http://www2.picturepush.com/photo/a/...e/IMG-7133.jpg |

Re: RCP Wreckluse Are you running 2-cell size batteries (those nihms in the pictures) ? If so, you can remove them thru the wheel well ??? The other pictures don't have a battery in them do they.... Thanks for sharing the electronic "guts" picture, I have a chassis I'm putting together and wondered what you could do to tuck it away. I wanted to run 2-cell lipos (because I have a lot)...not sure they would fit. Great build "thumbsup" |
Re: RCP Wreckluse 2 cell will be easy I'm running 3-cell 1200 and 3-cell 2100 (NiMH...I cut off the deans plugs from my old batteries....those have been junk for awhile) The interior is from my old New Bright JK.... the dash can hold the electronics or the batteries Post your build here's a shot with the battery: http://www3.picturepush.com/photo/a/...e/IMG-6764.jpg |
Re: RCP Wreckluse I'll post up some pics....I like your idea for the battery I'm struggling a bit with the wheel base, I've had to make all my links...have to shorten the fronts another 1/2 inch so they clear the servo....I have to admit, my mock-up looks funny with 1.9 wheels....I'm used to 2.2's |
Re: RCP Wreckluse there are a few new 1.9 tires that look great you get more articulation and a lower ride height with the 1.9's this rig is working great.....I may do a little trimming on the tire (so they hook up better) |

Re: RCP Wreckluse OK here's the latest.... got the servo winch installed...I bent some aluminum plate and mounted it between the shock mounts...still have full suspension droop and articulation the Wreckluse's stock winch slot was a bit too wide for my fairlead...so I solved a few problems I mounted the fairlead just above the slot...the hardware is tiny.... I used a square piece of derlin 1/4 x 1/4 x 1-1/2" to screw the fairlead to ....I drilled a small hole in the center delrin for the winch line than I rounded the edges of the hole for a smooth slide in and out right to left and up and down I drilled a 1/4" hole in the wreckluse stinger plate so the line would not come in contact with the metal. It's working well...... we'll see tomorrow how she does. http://www1.picturepush.com/photo/a/...mg/7917989.jpg http://www4.picturepush.com/photo/a/...mg/7917992.jpg http://www3.picturepush.com/photo/a/...mg/7917991.jpg http://www2.picturepush.com/photo/a/...mg/7917990.jpg |
