Thanks for the kind words guys... It's appreciated! Just got the cab back from the "body shop". My Dad had a yellow 2wd Hilux when I was a teen, so I had to go with the yellow. Besides, I have not seen many yellow Hilux's on the forum. And yes, it is "Toyota" yellow automotive spray paint. Here she is just sitting on the chassis. What do you guys think? |

The interior is pretty much done. Got the keys in the ignition, and the controls on the steering column. Just waiting on a "Yota" steering wheel from Dinky R/C shipping with my "DDK" drivetrain hopefully today.... So, I was down at the hobby shop showing the boys the progress. When one of the guys sugested I make it a dual stick transfer case and move the e-brake under the dash instead of in the center console. So, I did. I even went a little crazy and made the e-brake handle move in and out like the 1:1. Check it out.... This stick configuration is how my friend says it is in his 1:1. |

I have been a little busy to post any updates. But, I have acclompished a lot. I decided if I really wanted to call this thing a "truggy" I needed to hack the frame rails, and build a cage for the rear. So out came the hack saw, dremel tool, bender, piano wire and the torch. I didn't even plan it out. I just started bending and brazing, and this is what came out. I am pretty happy with it. Here she is as a roller.... And, with the body on... |

I received some parts in the mail yesterday... Got my Dinky R/c "Yota" steering wheel. And also got a set of emblems a gas pedal and a fuel cell top to from MTHead. All the parts are made with the highest quality. The "foot" pedal is much better than the stock looking one that I made... |

Here are a couple shots of the rear slider window. Closed. I am going to trim the right one down a little. Open. Because the top of the window frame is a slight arch, they won't open all the way. |

| Re: Hosstyle Hilux new project. I am ashamed that I have not looked through your build before now. This is impressive to say the least. I love scale rigs, but this takes it to another level. Can I send you my Tundra so you can do the doors and interior Holy smokes. No lie, Your interior on your crawler, looks 10X better than the interior in my '84 4Runner |

Thanks... Yeah that is what my friend said after I made the second stick. I might have made twin sticks if I knew before. But, I am done making stick shifts. Time to work on exterior details. I am also still waiting on the drivetrain, so I can figure placement and clearances for electronics & battery. |

I havent posted any updates in a while beacuse, I needed to take a break from the 1/10 scale toy to work on my full scale toy. It is 1000cc 200hp 900lb mini sprint. (the top wing is in the garage) We race on 1/4-1/3 mile dirt oval tracks all over Calif. 70-80 MPH sliding sideways in the dirt. It had been stripped down to a bare chassis to be straightned. So I had to take the time to get it all reassembled. Enough with the big toy, on to the update on the Yota. I added some more to the front bumper, Made a "Fuel Cell" elec's box, And added some bed sides (from orig. Wheely King body) on to the pics. I need to get some button head screws to hold the rear body panels. this is a temp mount for the filler hose.(just taped) I will make one. This was, I think, the best use of the Wheely King body sitting on the shelf for years. |
